This Northwest Native art print was done by Ruben Peters of Port Angeles, WA. I was happy to find and purchase a numbered copy of this serigraph because it depicts owl and moon together in the traditional Pacific Northwest native style. It is the only Native print I’ve ever seen pairing owl and moon. Readers of my novels will know the subjects are significant as Owl is the code name for Eva, the protagonist of An Owl’s Whisper. Moon symbolizes Eri, Cotton and Silk’s female protagonist, in Aunt Hattie’s fateful story of Coyote, Eagle and Moon. Every time I see this print, which hangs in our family living room, it gives me a mental link between my two novels.
