Coyote, Eagle, and Moon, Northwest Native style Posted on Thursday, June 14th, 2012 in Images

Northwest Native artist Joe Wilson is well known for his classic, traditional work. These three prints by him are hung as a cluster in my home and  depict characters common in Northwest Native lore: Moon, Wolf, and Eagle. I take the liberty of thinking of wolf as her cousin, Coyote. That makes this trio represent  the characters in the Coyote, Eagle, and Moon legend that serves to foreshadow events at the core of Cotton and Silk’s storyline.
